군은 24일 대회의실에서 관련 직원 100여명을 대상으로 박노보 지역공공정책연구원장을 초청해 ‘고향사랑기부제 직원 역량강화 교육’을 시행했다고 25일 밝혔다.

이날 교육은 고향사랑기부제에 대한 전반적인 이해를 돕는 교육과 함께 일본 고향납세 제도와의 비교, 성공사례 분석 등 심도 있는 내용으로 진행됐다.

김병곤 영덕부군수는 “고향사랑 기부제는 출향인들이 고향 발전에 기여한다는 자부심을 갖게 하고 지역사회엔 재정 확충과 경제 활성화에 도움이 되는 상생의 제도”라며, “이번 교육으로 직원들이 고향사랑기부제의 중요성을 알고 이 제도가 성공적으로 정착될 수 있도록 만전을 기해달라”고 당부했다.

한편, 내년 1월 1일부터 전국에서 시행되는 고향사랑기부제는 저출산, 고령화, 인구유출 등으로 악화된 지방재정을 확충하고 중앙과 지방의 경제 격차를 완화하기 위한 제도로, 개인이 자신의 현 거주지 외의 지자체에 연간 최대 500만원까지 기부하면 세액 공제(10만 원까지는 100%, 초과분은 16.5%) 혜택과 기부금 30% 내의 답례품을 받게 된다.

영덕군은 고향사랑기부제의 성공적인 추진을 위해 지난 12일 김병곤 영덕부군수를 중심으로 TF팀을 꾸려 해당 제도가 안정적으로 정착될 때까지 운영한다는 방침이다.
