영덕군 관계자는 “신규 원전 유치 여부는 지역의 100년 미래를 좌우할 수 있는 매우 중요하고 민감한 사안”이라며 “군민들의 집단지성을 믿고 충분한 의견 수렴을 거쳐 신중하게 결정하겠다”고 말했다.
