【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=경북도가 2017년 5년 주기의 국가통계로 승인받아 실시한‘2022년 경북 한옥조사’결과에서 경북지역 한옥이 2017년 대비 약 2700채 감소한 것으로 조사됐다.

한옥이란 주요구조가 기동, 보 및 한식 지붕틀로 된 목조 구조로써 우리나라 전통양식이 반영된 건축물 및 그 부속 건축물을 의미한다.

19일 경상북도에 따르면 이번 조사는 올해 9월부터 10월까지 도내 모든 한옥을 대상으로 한옥의 평면유형, 지붕형식, 지붕 및 담장 재료 등 11개 항목에 대해 조사를 실시했다.

주요결과를 보면, 지난해 기준 경북 한옥은 총 5.8만 채로 2018년 전주기와 비교해 약 2700채 감소한 것으로 나타났다.

시군별로는 경주 1.2만채, 안동 7000채, 영주 4000채 순으로 분포하고 있다.

읍면동별로는 경주 외동읍이 1200채, 안동 태화동이 800채, 영주 하망동이 700채로 가장 많이 분포하고 있다.

조사결과는 경북 전통한옥의 관광자원화, 체계적인 보존·관리 등 한옥정책 수립을 위한 자료로 활용할 예정이며 시군별, 읍면동별로 한옥의 분포 및 특성에 관한 내용을 담고 있다.

이정우 경북도 메타버스정책관은 “경북은 전국 최대 한옥 자원을 보유하고 있다. 최근 한옥에 대한 관심을 높이고, 체계적인 관리와 활용 방안을 마련할 수 있는 계기가 되기를 기대한다”고 밝혔다.

경북 한옥조사 결과는 도 홈페이지를 통해 누구나 열람이 가능하며, 통계청 국가통계포털 KOSIS에도 DB 자료를 구축해 서비스할 예정이다.

By city and county, there are 12,000 houses in Gyeongju, 7,000 houses in Andong, and 4,000 houses in Yeongju.

By eup, myeon and dong, Oedong-eup in Gyeongju has 1200 houses, Taehwa-dong in Andong with 800 houses, and Hamang-dong in Yeongju with 700 houses.

The results of the survey will be used as data for establishing hanok policies, such as turning Gyeongbuk traditional hanoks into tourism resources and systematic preservation and management.

Lee Jeong-woo, Gyeongbuk Provincial Metabus Policy Officer, said, “Gyeongbuk has the largest hanok resources in the country. We hope that it will serve as an opportunity to increase interest in hanok and prepare systematic management and utilization plans.”

The results of the Hanok survey in Gyeongsangbuk-do can be viewed by anyone through the provincial website, and DB data will be built and provided to KOSIS, the national statistical portal of the National Statistical Office.
