화성산업은 2019년 5억원, 2021년 5억원을 출연하고 다양한 기부활동도 펼치고 있어 지역 농업·농촌 상생발전에 모범 사례로 평가받고 있다.

이번 화성사업에서 출연한 2억원은 도내 농어촌체험휴양마을 및 유통취약농가 지원 등에 쓰여 질 계획이다.

농어촌상생협력기금(이하 상생기금)은 자유무역협정(FTA) 이행에 따라 피해를 입거나 입을 우려가 있는 농어업·농어촌의 지속가능한 발전과 상생협력을 위해 민간 기업이 출연하고 대·중소기업·농어업협력재단에서 운용하는 기금으로 2017년부터 1867억원이 조성돼 있다.

이철우 경북도지사는 “올 한해 농어촌상생협력기금과 기부금을 지원해 주신 기업들과 단체에 다시 한 번 감사를 드린다”며 ”농업·농촌의 상생발전을 위한 희망의 불씨가 꺼지지 않도록 기업들의 지속적인 관심과 아낌없는 지원을 부탁드린다”고 당부했다.
