【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=(재)포항테크노파크(이하 포항TP) 경북SW진흥본부는 29일 포항 라한호텔에서 메타버스 노마드 시범사업 성과 공유를 통한 경상북도 메타버스 노마드 활성화 및 확산을 위한‘메타버스 노마드 시범사업 성과보고회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 경상북도와 포항시를 비롯한 기초지자체, 산학연 기관, SW기업 관계자, 메타경북 얼라이언스 회원사 등 50여 명이 참석했다.

이날 행사는 ▲메타버스 노마드 시범사업 소개, ▲메타버스 노마드 시범사업 성과 보고(포항), ▲메타버스 노마드 시범사업 성과 보고(영덕‧의성), ▲ 메타경북 얼라이언스 소식공유 및 네트워킹 순으로 진행되었다.

‘메타버스 노마드 시범사업’은 과학기술정보통신부와 정보통신산업진흥원 주관 사업으로 메타버스 기반의 원격근무 환경과 함께, 지역 자원과 연계한 다양한 체험 프로그램 제공을 통해 지방소멸 방지와 지역 산업의 활력 제고를 목적으로 하고 있다.

포항TP 경북SW진흥본부는 ‘메타버스 노마드 시범사업’ 외에도 ‘메타버스 플랫폼 개발지원 사업’, ‘메타경북 얼라이언스 프로젝트그룹 운영 지원사업’, ‘경북형 인재양성-취업연계 메타버스 아카데미 사업’을 수행하며 경상북도 메타버스 생태계 조성에 공헌하고 있다.

이점식 포항TP 원장은 “이번 성과보고회가 메타버스 노마드의 필요성을 널리 알리고 앞으로 나아갈 방향을 제시하는 자리가 되었으면 한다.”고 말하며, “앞으로도 경상북도의 메타버스 산업 생태계 발전에 일조할 수 있도록 포항테크노파크가 앞장서겠다.”라고 말했다.
