【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포항테크노파크(이하 포항TP)는 지난 17일 경상북도와 공동으로 진행한 ‘경상북도 메타버스 해커톤 대회’가 성황리에 막을 내렸다고 21일 밝혔다.
이번 대회는‘메타버스 중심도시, 경북’실현에 맞춰,‘메타버스 기술개발 및 사회문제 해결이라는 주제로 진행되었으며, 대학생, 일반인으로 구성된 20개팀, 총 40명이 참여하여 다양한 분야의 뛰어난 아이디어를 선보였다.
대회 참가자들은 무박 3일간 팀프로젝트 수행을 통해 아이디어 도출과 함께 개발을 진행하였으며, 이 중‘학교 정보 공유 서비스’를 제안한 업그레이드팀(김현우, 김우진, 이태민, 이창민)이 최우수상(포항테크노파크 원장상)을 받아 300만원의 상금을 수상하였다.
우수상은 '세대간 소통 커뮤니케이션'을 주제로 '후레쉬맨'팀(정상경, 김준용, 김동하)이 차지하여 200만원을 수상하였으며, 장려상은 '메타버스 농업 체험'을 주제로 메타팜을 제안한 '메타빠스'팀(손승재, 송제용, 이준성, 김건우)이 수상하여 100만원의 상금을 받았다. 입상자들에게는 이와 함께 아이디어에 사업화 지원을 위해 1년간 창업보육 공간 제공 및 노트북, VR기기 장비 사용, 글로벌 기업 탐방 등이 제공될 예정이다.
이번 대회는 경상북도와 포항TP가 메타버스산업 분야의 기술개발과 인재양성을 위해 처음으로 진행한 행사로 메타버스 기반의 새로운 비즈니스 모델의 발굴과 인재양성을 통한 지역경제 활성화를 위해 마련되었다.
포항테크노파크 이점식 원장은 “이번 대회를 통해 경상북도 지역의 인재들이 메타버스 관련 아이디어와 기술을 함께 나누고 성장하는 뜻깊은 자리가 되길 바란다”며, “앞으로도 경상북도와 함께 메타버스 분야 기술육성과 인재양성을 위해 더욱 노력하겠다.”고 지원 의지를 밝혔다.
