【브레이크뉴스 의성】이성현 기자=의성군(군수 김주수)은 지난 20일 경상북도 주관 심뇌·금연 합동 성과대회에서 금연지원서비스사업 부문 도지사 표창을 수상했다고 21일 밝혔다.
이번 평가는 도내 보건소를 대상으로 우수사례 발굴 및 사업의 필요성, 적절성, 효과성 등을 검토하여 우수 지자체를 선정하는 것으로, 의성군은 2021년 최우수, 2022년 우수상에 이은 3년 연속 수상했다.
의성군은 지역의 특성 및 여건을 활용해 금연 환경조성, 금연 상담, 금연 지도점검을 추진하여 높은 평가를 받았다.
특히‘내동네 내친구와 함께하는 건강걷기교실’참여 대상자에게 흡연의 위해성 및 금연의 효과 교육, 버스 내 체험형 유아흡연 위해예방교실, 청소년의 눈높이에 적합한 음주·흡연예방 도전! 골든벨, 중고등학생 토크 콘서트 등 다양한 프로그램으로 주민의 금연과 간접흡연 예방에 힘썼다.
또한, 일반음식점주위 간접흡연 예방캠페인, 옥산면 주민들이 금연구역인 버스정류소 주변 꽃을 심고 금연 팻말 설치로 금연구역을 알리는 더 예뻐 眞(의성 진) 건강마을 캠페인 등을 운영해 주민들로부터 큰 호응을 받았다.
김주수 의성군수는 “앞으로도 군민들이 건강한 삶을 누릴 수 있도록 간접흡연 폐해 예방 및 흡연자를 위한 더 나은 금연 프로그램 운영으로 금연할 수 있는 환경조성에 최선을 다하겠다.”라고 말했다.
