‘자랑스러운 군민상’은 1979년 제정된 이래 지금까지 총 126명의 수상자를 배출한 명예로운 상이며, 오는 10월 개최 예정인 군민의 날 행사에서 시상할 계획이다.
후보자 추천은 각 시상 부문 관련 단체장, 읍·면장 또는 개인(150명 이상 연서)이 가능하며, 추천서는 의성군청 총무새마을과 또는 읍·면사무소에 방문 또는 우편 접수가 가능하다.
