이번 평가는 경북도 내 시‧군을 대상으로 △복지사각지대 발굴 및 지원 △수급자 사후관리 △고독사 예방 및 관리 △자활기업 구매율 △의료급여 실적 △긴급복지 신속 지원 등 사회보장 전반의 추진 실적을 종합적으로 심사해 우수 지자체를 선정했다.

경상북도는 시‧군의 복지 수준 향상과 사회보장제도 기반 강화를 위해 2024년부터 본 평가를 실시하고 있다. 특히 의성군은 복지사각지대 발굴을 비롯해 긴급복지 지원, 고독사 예방, 대상자별 맞춤형 복지서비스 제공 등에서 높은 평가를 받으며 우수지자체로 선정되는 성과를 거두었다. 

김주수 의성군수는 “이번 수상은 취약계층 지원을 강화하고 사회보장급여의 질을 높이기 위해 꾸준히 추진해 온 다양한 노력의 결실”이라며, “앞으로도 군민이 체감할 수 있는 따뜻한 복지 행정을 실현하기 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

Uiseong County Consecutive Selection as Outstanding Local Government in Gyeongsangbuk-do's 2025 Social Security Evaluation
