뉴스1에 따르면 제보자 A 씨가 지난해 11월 예비후보 B씨의 지지자인 C씨가 마련한 모임에서 B씨를 만났고, 12월 집 앞에서 C씨로부터 윤석열 대통령 시계를 받았다고 알려 왔다는 것. 

A 씨의 주장에 따르면 당시 모임에는 8명이 참석했고 그날 행사에 참석한 대부분이 나중에 C씨로부터 대통령 시계를 받은 것으로 알려졌다. 실제, A 씨가 모임에 왔던 사람 중 자신이 알고 있는 3명에게 전화해서 물어보니 그들도 C씨로부터 대통령 시계를 받았다고 했다는 것.
