【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=선린대학교(총장 곽진환)는 2024년도 상반기 경상북도교육청연수원으로부터 특수분야 연수기관으로 10년 연속 지정되었다고 12일 밝혔다.
이번 연수기관 지정은 경상북도 유·초·중등 교원 및 교육 전문직원을 대상으로 응급의료관련법령, 심정지 원인과 심폐소생술 실습, 자동제세동기를 이용한 실습, 기도폐쇄처치법 등을 교육하여 교직원들의 응급처치 능력을 향상시키기 위한 것으로 선린대학교 재난안전공유협업센터의 교육시설, 전문강사진, 실습 기자재 분야에 대한 서면 심사를 거쳐 최종 지정 승인됐다.
앞서 선린대학교 재난안전공유협업센터는 국제응급구조사협회(NAEMT)의 병원전 외상소생술(PHTLS), 미국의사협회(AMA) 국가재난응급의료전문가 (NDLS) 과정의 BDLS로 지정됐다.
또한 미국심장협회와 대한심폐소생협회의 교육지침과 가이드라인에 맞춰 시행되는 교육 프로그램인 미국심장협회의 의료종사자를 위한 기본심폐소생술(BLS provider), 전문심장소생술(ACLS provider), 한국형심폐소생술(KBLS provider), 한국전문소생술(KALS provider) 교육기관으로 지정되어 국내 재난 및 응급의료 분야의 전문 교육기관으로 자리매김하고 있다.
김병용 교수(재난안전공유협업센터장)는 “선린대학교의 정신인 ‘선한 사마리아인’의 봉사 정신을 바탕으로 심폐소생술 교육의 중요성을 널리 알리고 누구라도 응급상황에 대처할 수 있는 능력을 갖출 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”라고 말했다.
