광역정보3팀은 각종 집회의 안정적 관리 및 지역 축제, 행사 등 공공안녕위험에 대한 예고정보 활동 등 정보업무 전분야에서 우수한 성적을 거두어4월 23일 경찰청 행사에서 수상했다.

정보기능 치안역량 강화를 위해 올해 초 광역정보체제로개편한 이후 경북경찰청의 경우 기존 23개 경찰서에서 운영 중이던 정보기능을 道 전체를5개 권역으로 나누어 5개팀으로 운영 중(포항남부경찰서, 울릉경찰서는 기존 정보기능 운영)이며, 광역정보3팀은 김천, 칠곡, 성주, 고령 지역을 담당하고있다.

김철문 경북청장은 최근 재난‧안전사고 등 공공안녕 위험요인이 다양해짐에 따라, 사전 예방과 선제적 대응을 위한 정보경찰의 알람 역할이더욱 중요한 시기에 도민들의 다양한 목소리를 경청하고 진심으로 응답하는 정보활동을 할 것을 당부했다.
