경북경찰청 반부패경제범죄수사대는 지난 25일 경북 모 지역 단체장 선거에서 유권자들에게 특정 후보 지지를 부탁하며 돈을 건넨 혐의로 A(65) 씨를 구속했다.
앞서 경찰은 관련 제보를 받고 지난 23일 A씨 자택을 압수수색 했다. 압수수색 과정에 비협조적인 등의 이유로 A씨를 현장에서 긴급체포했다.
구속된 A씨는 이달 초 단체장 선거에 출마한 특정 후보 지지를 부탁하며 다수의 유권자에게 수백만원을 건넨 혐의를 받고 있다.
A씨는 해당 후보 친인척인 것으로 알려졌다.
