지난 18일 대구지법 행정2부(장래아 부장판사)는 민부기 의원이 의회를 상대로 낸 제명처분 집행정지 신청을 기각했다.

지난해 8월 민 의원은 서구의회가 기부채납을 받아 설치해 주는 것처럼 속여 자신의 아들이 다니는 초등학교 교실에만 공기청정 기능이 있는 환기창을 설치해 공직선거법을 위반한 혐의로 벌금 500만원을 선고받았다.

이 가운데 서구의회는 12월 민부기 의원의 제명에 대해 만장일치로 찬성하여 제명을 의결했고 이에 민 의원은 지난달 제명의결처분 무효확인 소송과 제명처분 집행정지를 신청했다.

하지만 대구지법은 민 의원의 제명처분 집행정지 신청에 대해 “제명처분 효력을 정지할 긴급한 필요가 있다고 인정되지 않는다”면서 이를 기각했다.
