이번 평가에서 경북경찰청은 반부패 추진계획 수립, 기관장 노력, 반부패·청렴교육, 부패·공익신고자 보호 노력 등을 인정받았다.

경북청은 청렴문화 확산을 위하여 전국 경찰관서 최초로 청렴스토리 경진대회를 개최하여 최우수작으로‘들어주셔서 감사합니다.’(영덕경찰서 경감 원성섭)를 선정했다.

또 이해충돌방지법 업무편람을 PC용과 모바일용으로 만들어 현장 경찰관들이 손쉽게 활용할 수 있도록 하였으며 총경 이상 고위직의 청렴특강을 비롯한 다양한 반부패·청렴교육 프로그램을 운영한 결과 반부패 추진계획 수립과 이해충돌방지제도 운영 및 반부패 청렴교육 추진 분야에서 만점을 받았다.

최주원 청장은 “앞으로도 24개 경찰서장과 경찰서 청렴선도그룹 회원들이 관서별로 다양한 시책을 운영하고, 표어공모전 등을 통해 우수한 시책을 전파하여 현장의 변화를 유도하겠다."고 밝혔다.
