이번 일제 점검은 휴가철 축산물 가격 상승 등으로 원산지 위반 개연성이 높아짐에 따라 축산물 수입 상황, 가격 및 유통․판매 동향 등을 면밀히 살펴위반 의심업체 위주로 점검한다.

이를 위해 경북농관원 특별사법경찰관 등 50명과소비자단체 명예감시원으로 구성된 ‘주부감시단’ 64명이 참여하여 국내산과가격 편차가 큰 수입 축산물을 국내산으로 속여 판매하는 위반 행위를중점 단속하고, 관광지 주변 지역특산물 판매장 등에 대해서는 단속과 함께농산물 명예감시원을 활용한 지도․홍보를 실시한다.

이번 단속은 최근 가격 상승 영향으로 원산지 둔갑 판매할 우려가 높은 축산물 위주로 집중 점검을 실시할 예정이며, 특히, 돼지고기 단속은 현장에서 원산지 신속 검정키트를 활용해 위반여부를판별하며, 단속 취약시간대인 저녁시간에는 농산물 명예감시원으로 편성된‘주부감시단’이 매장을 방문하여 저녁장을 보면서 구입한 축산물 시료의원산지 검정 결과로 단속한다.
