【브레이크뉴스 경북】박은정 기자=경북농관원(지원장 김동환)은 설 명절 농식품 원산지 표시 관리를 위해 일제단속을 실시하여 위반업체 58개소를 적발했다고 31일 밝혔다.
이번 집중단속 기간 중 대구․경북지역 992개 업체를 점검하여 원산지를 거짓표시한 29개소, 원산지를 미표시한 27개소와 축산물이력제 표시를 위반한 2개소를 적발했다.
품목별로는 돼지고기 14건, 쌀․떡류 9건, 쇠고기 8건, 배추김치 8건, 두부류 4건 등의 순이며 업종별로는 일반음식점 28개소, 식육판매업소 9개소, 가공업체 8개소 순이다.
원산지를 거짓으로 표시한 29개소에 대해서는 형사입건 수사 후 검찰에 송치할 예정이고, 원산지를 표시하지 않은 27개 업체와 축산물이력제를 거짓으로 표시한 2개 업체에 대해서는 과태료 886만원을 부과하였다.
이번에 적발된 업체 중 규모가 크거나 고의적이고 상습적인 업주에 대해서는 단속의 실효성을 높이기 위하여 강제수사를 원칙으로 하여 무거운 처벌을 받도록 할 예정이다.
경북농관원 김동환 지원장은 “설 명절이 끝나면 바로 정월대보름이 이어지는 만큼 부럼용 견과류, 나물류, 잡곡류 등 수요 증가가 예상되는 농산물 위주 원산지 표시 지도와 단속 등을 추진할 계획”이라고 밝혔다.
