【브레이크뉴스 예천】진예솔 기자=예천군(군수 김학동)이 2024년 예천곤충축제를 앞두고 곤충생태원 모노레일 운행을 재개했다고 12일 밝혔다.

지난 9일 재운행을 시작한 곤충생태원 모노레일은 노선길이 약 920m, 16인승 3량의 궤도열차다.

약 15분 동안 곤충생태원을 한바퀴 돌며 주변 소백산 경치를 즐길 수 있어 관람객에게 인기를 끌었던 모노레일은 수해로 인해 작년 4월부터 운행이 중단되어 있었다.

이 가운데 예천군은 산 구릉에 조성된 곤충생태원 이용객의 편의를 위해 모노레일을 재운행에 나섰다. 

이에 따라 관람객들은 모노레일을 타고 곤충생태원을 돌아보며 전경을 감상할 수 있게 됐다.

김학동 예천군수는 “관람객들의 즐거움과 편의를 더할 수 있어 기쁘다”며 “모노레일 운영하면서 안전사고 등이 발생하지 않도록 각별한 주의를 기울이겠다”고 말했다.

Yecheon-gun (Governor Kim Hak-dong) announced on the 12th that it has resumed operation of the Insect Ecology Center Monorail ahead of the 2024 Yecheon Insect Festival.

The Insect Ecology Center Monorail, which resumed operation on the 9th, is a 3-car, 16-passenger railcar with a route length of approximately 920m.

The monorail, which was popular with visitors because it allowed them to enjoy the surrounding Sobaeksan Mountain scenery while circling the Insect Ecology Center for approximately 15 minutes, had been suspended from operation since April of last year due to flood damage.

In the midst of this, Yecheon-gun resumed operation of the monorail for the convenience of visitors to the Insect Ecology Center, which was built on a hillside.

Accordingly, visitors can now ride the monorail around the Insect Ecology Center and enjoy the view.

Yecheon-gun Governor Kim Hak-dong said, “I am glad that we can add to the enjoyment and convenience of visitors,” and “We will pay special attention to prevent safety accidents while operating the monorail.”
