20일 예천군(군수 김학동)에 따르면 선수 및 임원 등 500명이 참가하는 제54회 전국 남‧여 양궁 종합선수권대회는 22일부터 25일까지 한국 양궁의 자존심을 걸고2022년도 국내 양궁대회를 총결산한다.

이어 26일과 27일 양일간 펼쳐지는 2023년 양궁 국가대표 1차 선발전경기는 남·여 선수 각 100명이 참가해남·여 각 64명을 선발하게 된다.

군은이번 대회 참가 선수들이 최상의 조건에서 경기를 할 수 있도록경기장 시설물 주변 정비, 숙박시설, 음식점, 휴게시설 등을 점검하고 보건소와 협력해 응급 의료진을 배치할 계획이다.

김학동 예천군수는 “국내 양궁 최고 권위의 종합선수권대회와 2023년양궁 국가대표 1차 선발전을 양궁의 고장 예천에서 개최하게 된 것을 진심으로 환영한다.”며 “앞으로도 한국 양궁발전과 지역경기 활성화를 위해 적극적인 스포츠마케팅을 펼치겠다.”고 말했다.
