【브레이크뉴스 예천】이성현 기자=예천군은 예천진호국제양궁장에서 23일 제56회 전국 남녀 양궁 종합선수권대회 개회식을 시작으로 2025년 양궁 국가대표 1차 선발전과 추계 생활체육 양궁대회를 29일까지 연이어 개최한다고 밝혔다.

대한양궁협회 주최로 열리는 종합선수권대회는 올해 국내 양궁을 총결산하는 자리로 23일 15시 50분 개회식을 시작으로 26일까지 선수·임원 등 350명이 참가해 리커브 및 컴파운드 등 2종목을 겨룬다.

27일과 28일에는 2025년 양궁 국가대표 1차 선발전이 진행되며, 리커브 종목에는 남자 102명, 여자 102명이 참여해 남녀 각각 64명을 선발한다. 컴파운드 종목에서는 2024년 등록 선수 중 남녀 각 16명을 선발하게 된다. 29일에는 양궁 동호인들의 축제인 추계생활체육 양궁대회가 선수와 임원 500명이 참가한 가운데 열린다.

특히, 이번 대회에는 지난 파리올림픽 금메달리스트 김제덕을 비롯해 올림픽 스타들이 총출동하는 별들의 전쟁이나 다름없으며, 일주일간 연인원 3천 명이 예천을 방문해 지역경기 활성화에 도움을 줄 것으로 기대된다.

예천군은 이번 대회를 위해 경기장 시설물을 정비하고 관내 숙박시설, 음식점, 휴게시설 등을 점검하는 등의 준비를 완료했다.

김학동 예천군수는 “선수들이 1년 동안 열심히 준비한 만큼 좋은 성적을 내기를 바라며, 2025년 국가대표 1차 선발전에서도 최선을 다해주기를 바란다.” 고 전했다.

The 56th National Men's and Women's Archery Championships Open in Yecheon
