【브레이크뉴스 예천】이성현 기자=(재)예천문화관광재단(이사장 김학동)은 21일 개최된 ‘2024 제18회 피너클 어워드(Pinnacle Awards)한국대회에서 금상과 동상을 각각 수상했다고 밝혔다.

군에 따르면 이번 대회에서 예천활축제는 문화유산활용 프로그램부분 금상, 예천삼강주막나루터 축제는 특별프로그램 부문에서 동상, 총 2개 부문을 수상했다. 작년 첫 수상에 이은 2년 연속 수상의 영예를 안았다.

세계축제협회(IFEA)가 주관하는 ‘피너클 어워드’는 국내의 경쟁력 있는 축제를 발굴해 시상하고, 이를 세계화로 연결하는 권위 있는 행사로 ‘축제 올림픽’이라 불린다.

매년 컨퍼런스와 함께 개최되는 이 행사는 축제 간 경쟁을 통해 국내 축제의 질적 향상을 도모하고 성공 노하우를 공유하는데 중점을 둔다.

이번에 금상을 수상한 2024 예천활축제는 ‘히트다 히트 예천’이라는 주제로 ‘다 같이 놀자 예천활축제’ 라는 슬로건 아래 지난 5월 3일부터 6일까지 나흘간 약10만 8천여명의 관람객이 방문했으며 주제공연, 활의 전쟁, 필드아처리, 키자니아 등 다양한 공연·체험·전시 등을 선보였다.

예천군은 전국 3대 활 생산지이자, 전국에서 유일한 활축제 개최지로서 ‘활의 고장’이라는 독창적인 정체성을 바탕으로 축제 브랜드를 강화해 심사위원들에게 깊은 인상을 남겼다.

(재)예천문화관광재단은 “예천군의 활문화를 널리 알리고 지속 가능한 축제를 위해 더욱 다양하고 풍성한 콘텐츠를 개발해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

Yecheon-gun wins the highest award in the cultural heritage category at the World Festivals Association Pinnacle Awards

The 2024 Yecheon Archery Festival, which won the gold medal this time, was held under the theme of ‘Hit, Hit Yecheon’ and the slogan of ‘Let’s Play Together at the Yecheon Archery Festival’ for four days from May 3 to 6, with approximately 108,000 visitors, and presented various performances, experiences, and exhibitions such as theme performances, the Battle of the Bows, Field Archery, and Kidzania.

As one of the three major archery producing regions in the country and the only archery festival venue in the country, Yecheon-gun left a deep impression on the judges by strengthening the festival brand based on its unique identity as the ‘Land of Archery’.
