【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=한국수력원자력(사장 황주호, 이하 한수원)은 19일부터 21일(현지시간)까지 체코 프라하에서 개최된 국제 수소 기술 콘퍼런스인 ‘하이드로젠 데이즈(Hydrogen Days) 2025’에 참가해 자사의 청정수소 사업 역량을 선보였다.

한수원에 따르면 ‘하이드로젠 데이즈’는 수소 기술의 상업적 구현을 위한 정보 교류와 산업 발전 방향 논의를 목적으로 체코수소협회가 매년 주최하는 행사다.

 올해는 토요타, 비엠더블유(BMW), 압축기 전문 기업 엔이에이(NEA), 유니페트롤(Unipetrol) 등 글로벌 기업과 체코 산업통상부, 외무부, 유럽투자은행 등 정부 기관도 참여했다. 행사 주제는 ‘수소-정치에서 비즈니스로(Hydrogen – from Politics to Business)’로 설정됐다.

한수원은 이번 콘퍼런스에서 김형일 그린사업본부장의 기조연설을 시작으로, 국내에서 진행 중인 청정수소 실증사업에 대해 발표하였다. 

또한, 홍보부스를 운영하여 전 세계 수소 산업 관계자들과의 네트워크를 강화하고, 유럽 시장에 진출할 기회를 모색하는 한편, 글로벌 에너지 전환 흐름 속에서 지속 가능한 사업 기회를 확대할 계획이다.

현재 한수원은 저온 수전해 기반의 10MW급 원자력 청정수소 생산 실증사업을 진행 중이다. 특히 지난해 9월 체코수소협회(HYTEP)와 체결한 ‘원자력 청정수소에 대한 사업지원 및 정보교류’ 협약을 기점으로, 유럽에서 청정수소 사업을 적극 추진하고 있다.

김형일 한수원 그린사업본부장은 “이번 콘퍼런스는 기후위기 극복을 위한 전 세계 수소 산업계의 협력의 장이 될 것”이라며, “한수원은 한국과 체코에서 수소 산업이 성공적으로 정착할 수 있도록 경험과 지식을 모아 적극적으로 협조할 것”이라고 밝혔다.

Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (President Hwang Joo-ho, hereinafter referred to as Hanwha Solutions) participated in 'Hydrogen Days 2025', an international hydrogen technology conference held in Prague, Czech Republic from the 19th to the 21st (local time), and showcased its clean hydrogen business capabilities.

According to Hanwha Solutions, 'Hydrogen Days' is an event hosted by the Czech Hydrogen Association every year for the purpose of exchanging information for commercial implementation of hydrogen technology and discussing the direction of industrial development.

This year, global companies such as Toyota, BMW, compressor specialist NEA, and Unipetrol, as well as government agencies such as the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the European Investment Bank, also participated. The theme of the event was set as 'Hydrogen - from Politics to Business'.

At this conference, Hanwha Solutions began with a keynote speech by Kim Hyung-il, head of the Green Business Division, and presented on the clean hydrogen demonstration project currently underway in Korea.

In addition, the company plans to operate a promotional booth to strengthen its network with hydrogen industry stakeholders around the world, seek opportunities to enter the European market, and expand sustainable business opportunities amid the global energy transition trend.

Currently, Hanwha Solutions is conducting a 10MW nuclear clean hydrogen production demonstration project based on low-temperature water electrolysis. In particular, starting with the ‘Business Support and Information Exchange for Nuclear Clean Hydrogen’ agreement signed with the Czech Hydrogen Association (HYTEP) in September of last year, the company is actively promoting clean hydrogen projects in Europe.

Kim Hyung-il, head of the Green Business Division at Hanwha Solutions, said, “This conference will be a venue for cooperation between the global hydrogen industry to overcome the climate crisis,” and added, “Hanwha Solutions will actively cooperate by gathering experience and knowledge so that the hydrogen industry can successfully settle in Korea and the Czech Republic.”
