해경은 포항구조대와 포항파출소를 현장에 긴급 투입해 여성 A씨(30대)를 발견해 직접 입수 후 구조정으로 인양했다. A씨는 생명에 지장이 없었으며, 119구급대의 건강 상태 확인을 거쳐 보호자와 함께 귀가했다.

이근안 포항해양경찰서장은 “시민의 소중한 생명을 지키는 것이 최우선”이라며 “앞으로도 해양에서 발생하는 각종 사고에 신속히 대응해 국민의 안전을 지켜나가겠다”고 말했다.
