경상북도는 15일 정월대보름을 맞아 화백당에서 이철우 도지사를 비롯한 경북도 산하 28개 공공기관장과 실국장 전원이 우리 고유의 전통의상인 한복을 입고 올해 첫 공공기관장 확대 간부회의를 개최했다.

경상북도에 따르면 이날 회의는 최근 중국 베이징 동계올림픽 개막식에서 한복을 소수민족 의상으로 연출하는 상황에서 한복의 우수성을 홍보하고 현실로 다가온 메타버스 시대에 경북을 넘어 대한민국 대표 콘텐츠로 육성하자는 결의를 다지는 의미에서 마련됐다.

경북도는 한국한복진흥원이 위치한 상주를 중심으로 안동포, 풍기인견, 상주의 명주까지 대표적인 한복원단 소재산업이 발달한 한복산업의 중심지이면서 청도, 영천 등의 천연염색이 발달한 곳이다.

또한 국내 한복명장 9명중 7명이 대구경북권에 있는 “대한민국 한복의 수도”라 할 수 있다.

이철우 도지사는 “한복은 14억 인구의 중국이 탐낼 만큼 그 가치가 구궁무진하다”라면서 “앞으로 정원대보름, 단오, 한글날은 전통의상인 한복을 입고 간부회의를 진행하고, 오늘 회의가 유리 속에 있는 한복을 일상으로 꺼내는 계기가 됐으면 한다”라고 말했다.

특히, 이날은 ‘메타버스 수도 경상북도 기본구상’에 대한 발표가 있었다.

먼저, ▷돈 되는 메타버스 ▷사람들이 몰리는 메타버스 ▷디지털로 통합하는 메타버스 등 3대 방향을 제시했다.

이를 위해 인재양성과 산업육성, 문화관광 활성화, 특화 서비스-존 조성 등 4대 분야 20개 중점과제를 추진할 방침이다.

회의에 참석한 공공기관별로는 ▷경북문화재단은 道 문화자원 메타버스화 및 디지털 콘텐츠 개발 ▷문화엑스포는 이달 5일 BTS 리더 RM의 솔거미술관 방문에 따른 외국인 관광객 유치전략 ▷경상북도경제진흥원은 미스매칭 해소를 통한 청년일자리 창출 ▷경북테크노파크는 과학기술산업기반 권역별 메타버스 발전전략 수립 등에 대해 보고하고 열띤 토론을 펼쳤다.

이철우 경북도지사는 “서양에서는 예쁜 옷을 만들어 놓고 사람들이 사이즈별로 몸을 맞추는 형태이다. 한복은 저고리와 바지로 형태가 정해져 있으나 오늘 보듯이 모든 사람에게 잘 어울리는 유연한 복식문화이다”라면서 “4차 산업혁명시대, 메타버스시대에 요구되는 가치가 한복처럼 유연하고 융합적인 사고이다. 이러한 철학을 포함한 경북의 문화적 정체성을 메타버스 플랫폼을 통해 세계에 알리는데 역량을 집중해 달라”라고 주문했다.
