【브레이크뉴스 성주】이성현 기자=성주군은 3일부터 성주군 경산리 251번지 일원에 건립한 성주군 공영주차장을 지역주민들에게 개방한다고 밝혔다.
성주군 공영주차장은 2019년 국토교통부 공모사업에 선정되어, 2021년6월 본격적인 공사를 시작하였고, 총 사업비 64억으로 3층 4단, 주차대수 231면인 주차전용 건축물로써 성주군청을 방문하시는 군민들의 주차불편 문제와 군청 주변의 만성적인 주차난을 해소코자 건립되었다.
지상 1층에는 장애인 및 임산부 주차구역과 자전거 거치대, 전기자동차충전구역, 장애인 화장실, 2층부터 옥상층까지는 일반 자동차 주차공간이 갖추어져 있다.
올해 하반기까지는 원활한 주차장 건축물의 이용과 지역 주민들의 불편해소를 위해 무료로 시범 운영된다.
이병환 성주군수는“성주군 공영주차장의 개방으로 군청 인근의 만성적인 주차난과 군청을 방문하는 민원인들의 주차문제 해소에 많은 도움이될 것으로 기대된다. 앞으로도 지역 주민들의 주차 불편을 해소하고 편리하고 안전한 주차환경이 조성될 수 있도록 지속적으로 노력하겠다.”고 말했다.
