【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자=고품격 국화 작품과 국화 향기를 느낄수 있는 ‘2022년 국화전시회’가 13일부터 오는 11월 20일까지 열린다고 대구시가 13일 밝혔다.

전시회는 엑스코 서관 광장과 대구수목원, 동대구역 광장 등 3곳에서 열린다.

엑스코 서관 광장에서는 이날부터 오는 11월 20일까지, 수목원에서는 오는 29일부터 다음 달 13일까지, 동대구역 광장에서는 오는 29일부터 다음 달 20일까지 각각 전시회가 열린다.

대구수목원은 약 일 년 동안 정성들여 직접 재배한 국화 1만 5천여 점을 모형작, 현애작, 윤재작, 분재작, 대국, 소국 등의 형태로 전시한다. 

국화 모형작은 특정한 동물이나 식물 등의 입체모형에 국화를 빽빽하게 심어 만드는 것으로 친환경도시 대구를 상징하는 수달 모형(도달쑤), 대구의 시조인 독수리 모형, 어린이들이 좋아하는 다람쥐·토끼 등 동물 모형, 하트·미니버스 모형 등 가족 친화적인 모형 작품들이다. 

1만 5천여 점의 국화 작품 중 대구수목원에는 모형작, 현애작, 윤재작, 분재작, 대국화분, 소국화분 등 1만 1천여 점이 전시되며, 관람시간은 오전 9시부터 오후 6시까지이다. 

동대구역 광장 국화 전시(모형작, 현애작, 윤재작, 대국, 소국 등 3천 8백여 점 전시)는 동대구역이 유동성이 높은 곳인 만큼 수목원을 방문하지 못하는 대구시민은 물론 대구를 방문하는 국내외 관광객들에게 가을꽃 국화를 통해 대구의 품격을 느낄 수 있게 하기 위해 마련됐다.

김형일 대구시 도시관리본부장은 “대구수목원이 지난 일 년 동안 정성껏 준비한 전시회이니만큼 많은 시민들이 관람하러 오셔서 코로나19의 스트레스를 풀면 좋겠다”며, “국화전시회 기간 교통 혼잡이 우려되니 가급적 대중교통을 이용해 주실 것을 당부드린다”고 밝혔다.
