16일 도에 따르면 이철우 도지사는 첫날인 지난 15일 지역 업체 제품 판로 확대, 현지 우수 학생 지역 유치 등을 위한 간담회를 하고 응우옌 탄 하이 타이응우옌성 당서기 찐 비엣 훙 성장, 팜 황 썬 인민위원회 의장과 만나 기업, 경제 등 교류 확대 방안을 논의했다.

이튿날에는 경북 출신의 현지 진출기업인 크레신과 엠텍을 방문하고 한국-베트남 수교 30주년을 기념해 양측 정부관계자, 대기업 및 중소기업 관계자, 현지 진출기업인 등 경제관계자들이 참석한 가운데 양 지역 간 경제활성화 및 통상확대를 위한 의견을 청취했다.

특히, 경제포럼에서 이철우 도지사는‘메타버스 수도 경북’선포하고 메타버스 수도로 우뚝 서기 위해 대한민국 최초의 메타버스 면세점 구축협약 체결, 메타버스 비전 선포, 메타버스 브랜드 등록, 메타버스 수도 경북 기본계획 발표 등의 내용으로 특별강연을 펼쳤다.

17일과 18일에는 관광 분야 협력사업 발굴 및 벤치마킹, 현지 여행객 확보를 위해 진출기업 대표들과 간담회 등을 할 예정이다.

이철우 경북도지사는“이번 방문은 경제와 통상 분야의 상호교류 확대, 현지 관광객의 지역유치 및 지역 우수상품의 베트남 진출을 도모하고, 지역으로 베트남 유학생 유치와 부족한 인력의 공급을 위한 발판을 마련하는 기회가 될 것”이라고 밝혔다.
