군에 따르면 이번 사업은 사회참여를 희망하는 어르신에게 맞춤형 일자리를 제공하고, 소득창출을 통해 안정된 노후생활 지원과 사회참여 기회를 제공하기 위해 마련됐다.
군은 올해 공익활동형 사업(환경개선, 경로당 깔끄미)에 지난해 대비 4억 증가한 59억의 예산을 투입해 1,753명의 어르신에게 일자리를 제공할 예정이다.
본격 사업시행에 앞서 동절기 안전사고 예방 및 노인일자리 업무의 이해도를 높이기 위해 1월 중 참여자를 대상으로 워크북을 제작해 비대면 개인별 안전교육을 실시한다.
특히 계절별 기상상황에 따라 근로시간 단축 및 실내활동 전환, 농번기 부족한 인력난을 해소하기 위해 노인일자리사업 운영 일시 중단, 연장근로 등 탄력적으로 사업을 운영하여 어르신들의 만족도를 높일 계획이다.
오도창 영양군수는“이번 일자리사업이 지역 어르신들의 건강하고 활기찬 노후생활에 든든한 지원군이 되길 기대한다”며“앞으로도 100세 시대를 맞아 지역 어르신들의 지속적인 사회참여와 경제적 부담을 해소하고자 노인일자리 분야의 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.
