【브레이크뉴스 대구 】이성현 기자=(사)푸른대구가꾸기시민모임(이사장 문희갑)은 4월 1일 오전 대구 동구 소재 율하 체육공원일대에서 2023년도 식목행사를 가졌다.

행사에는 대구지역 푸른대구가꾸기시민모임 회원 및 가족, 시민정원사, 자연보호동구협의회, 한국조경사회 대구경북지회를 비롯해 각 단체 회원 등 500여명이 함께 했다.

수종은 남천 3000주와 오색마숙줄 2000분, 황금조팝 1000주, 삼색조팝 1000주, 왜성남천 1000주, 꽃댕강나무 500주 등 모두 8500주의 꽃과 나무가 심겨졌다.

특히, 이날 행사에는 고사리 손의 유아에서부터 초등학교, 중학교 학생들이 대거 참여해 눈길을 끌었다. 문희갑 이사장은 이들을 일일이 손 잡아주면서 어린아이 시절부터 나무심기 의미를 부여해 주는 것도 어른들의 의무라는 점을 강조하고 환영했다.

시민모임은 또, 이날 공원에 나온 인근 주민들에게 약 500여그루의 꽃나무를 선물하고, 각 가정에서도 나름의 식목행사를 가지도록 권유했다.

한편, (사)푸른대구가꾸기시민모임은 문희갑 전 대구시장이 대구시장 재임 시절 자신의 대표 정책이었던 도심 나무심기를 민간 차원에서 계속 추진하기 위해 창립한 시민 모임으로, 대구를 푸르고 쾌적한 도시로 만들기 위해 매년 나무 심기는 물론 비료 주기와 녹색시민강좌개설, 청소년 생태체험 등의 다양한 활동을 펼쳐오고 있다.
