【브레이크뉴스 포항】박희경 기자=장경식 전 도의회 의장이 지난 6일 정부 종합청사에서 개최된 대통령 직속 1호 국민 통합위원회 경북위원 위촉식에서 경북회장에 위촉됐다.

이날 김한길 위원장과 김학홍 경상북도 행정 부지사 등이 참석한 가운데 위촉식과 1차 위원회 회의가 개최됐다.

이날 위촉으로 장경식 경북회장은 우리 사회의 갈등 치유와 국민 통합 증진을 위한 다양한 활동을 앞장서 펼치게 되었다. 

장경식 신임 회장은 “중책을 맡아 어깨가 무겁다며 16년 도의정 활동을 경험 삼아 큰 통합 활동도 중요하지만 경북 내의 할 일을 우선하자”며 당선 인사말을 했다.
