장경식 경상북도의회 전반기 의장(포항, 국민의힘)이 포항시장 출마를 위해 도의원 사직서를 경상북도의회에 제출했다고 29밝혔다.
장경식 전 의장은 “과거를 딛고 일어서 포항의 미래를 새롭게 열겠다고 하면서 변화와 혁신, 공정하고 정의로운 사회, 청년들이 미래를 꿈꿀 수 있는 포항을 만들기 위한 시장이 되겠다.”며 포항시장 출마했다.
이와 함께 그는 공약 사항으로 코로나19로 인한 손실보상금 지원 및 금융지원을 통한 일상으로의 조속한 복귀, 영일만대교 조기 건설, 공직사회 혁신, 중소기업 육성 및 지원, 청년주택 융자 지원, 청년일자리 창출, 사각지대 없는 함께 행복한 복지 등이 포함된 7대 공약을 제시했다.
