【브레이크뉴스 고령】이성현 기자=고령 대가야축제가 지난 19일 문화체육관광부 주관 2024~2025 문화관광축제에 선정돼 문화적 가치와 관광상품성을 대외적으로 인정받았다.

20일 고령군(군수 이남철)에 따르면 2024~2025 문화관광축제 심사결과 전국 1,200여개의 전국 축제 중 25곳이 최종 선정됐으며, 그중 경북도내에서는 포항국제불빛축제와 함께 고령 대가야축제가 선정됐다.

2024~2025 문화관광축제는 올해 연중 진행한 전문가 서면·현장평가와 관광객 인지도와 만족도, 지역주민 지지호응도를 종합한 결과를 반영해 선정했다.

또한 콘텐츠의 차별성과 축제 조직의 운영역량, 지역사회 기여도, 안전 관리체계 등도 종합적으로 평가되었고,‘고령 대가야축제’는 각 부문 고루 높은 점수를 받았다.

문체부와 한국관광공사는 앞으로 2년 동안 2024~2025 문화관광축제로 선정된 축제에 대하여 국비 지원과 함께 홍보, 마케팅, 수용태세 개선 등 전문 상담 등을 종합 지원한다.

또한 전국민을 대상으로 한 해당축제 방문 독려행사와 외국인 관광객 유치를 위한 해당 축제장 관광상품 판촉으로 연중 뒷받침하게 된다.

한편‘고령 대가야축제’는 올해 초 3년 연속 경상북도에서 지정한 최우수 축제로 선정되었을 뿐만 아니라 이번 문화관광축제까지 선정됨으로서 명실상부 대한민국 대표 축제로 거듭나게 되었다.

이남철 고령군수는 “고령 대가야축제가 경북도내 뿐아니라 전국을 대표하는 축제가 되었음에 큰 책임감과 자부심을 느끼며, 더욱 내실있는 기획과 운영으로 축제를 찾는 관광객은 물론 지역주민과 함께 즐기는 세계적인 축제로 나아갈 수 있도록 끊임없이 노력하겠다”고 포부를 밝혔다.
