지난달 31일 경주 라한셀렉트호텔에서 경일대 김호권 지방대학활성화사업단장과 (주)제노픽스, 멜라카, 콘텐츠랩 슬러그, 에스플랜, 디메이드3D, 에이존테크(주), (주)패턴앤, 엔피니티7, (주)올블랑, (주)엔박스게임즈, 미디피아, 씨온엔터테인먼트, AI부스터 등 메타콘텐츠 관련 13개 기업 대표 및 관계자 등 50여 명이 참석한 가운데 협약식이 개최되었다.

협약식에 참여한 기관들은 ▶상호 전문인력 양성을 위한 산학협력 체계 구축 ▶학생 취·창업 활성화를 위한 현장실습 및 취업 연계 분야 상호협력 ▶협약 기관 학술 및 연구 활동 상호협력 ▶지역산업 발전을 위한 공동연구 등에 관한 협력을 약속했다.

이날 (주)올블랑 여주엽 대표가 ‘플랫폼과 콘텐츠의 미래’라는 주제로, AI부스터 서정린 이사가 ‘하이퍼케주얼 게임 시장 동향’이란 주제로 특강을 진행하기도 했다.

이번 행사를 기획한 김호권 단장(게임콘텐츠학과 학과장)은 "지역 메타콘텐츠 생태계 조성의 인적 물적 자원교류 활성화와 우수 인재 양성을 목표로 하고 있다"며 "연계 분야 협력은 물론 지역사회의 ICT 융합 산업 발전에도 앞장설 것"이라고 말했다.
