【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=경일대학교 산학협력단이 문경시 도시재생지원센터와 협약을 맺고 도시재생 활성화에 나선다고 25일 밝혔다.

대학에 따르면 지난 20일 경일대 산학교육관에서 경일대 권성근 산학협력단장과 건축디자인과(5년제) 이광현 학과장, 문경시 도시재생지원센터의 박정호 센터장 등이 참석한 가운데 도시재생 활성화와 거버넌스 체계 구축을 위한 협약식이 열렸다.

양 기관은 이번 협약을 통해 문경시의 지속 가능한 도시재생 방안을 제공하기 위한 연계 협력체계를 구축하고 문경시 도시재생 사업의 성공적인 수행과 지역 사회 발전을 이끌어나갈 예정이다.

협약의 주요내용은 ▶도시재생과 지역발전에 관한 정보 교환 및 학술 자문, 기술 교류 ▶지역문화와 지역발전을 위한 협업 ▶지역발전 프로그램 개발에 필요한 협력 등을 골자로 한다.

경일대 건축디자인과(5년제) 김은광 교수는 “협약을 통해 경일대에서 보유하고 있는 ‘도시재생 및 지속 가능한 지역 발전’에 관한 연구 성과를 문경시 실정에 맞게 적용해 볼 수 있게 됐다”라며 “앞으로도 다양한 협업을 통해 지역발전에 기여할 수 있는 좋은 사례를 만들어 나갈 것”이라고 전했다.
