동해남부 전 해상 연안해역 위험예보제 ‘주의보’ 발령...주의 당부

【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=제9호 태풍 ‘종다리’북상 및 열대저압부의 영향으로 동해남부 전 해상에 매우 강한 바람과 높은 물결이 예상됨에 따라 포항해양경찰서(서장 김지한)는 20일 오후 6시부터 23일 오후 3시까지 연안해역 안전사고 위험예보제 ‘주의보’ 단계를 발령했다.
기상청 예보에 따르면 8월 20일 밤부터 23일 오전까지 경북남부앞바다에 5~16m/s의 매우 강한 바람이 불고 1.5 ~ 3.5m의 높은 물결이 일면서 해양 안전사고 우려가 높아져 주의가 각별히 요구된다.
포항해경은 연안해역 안전사고 위험예보제 발령기간 중 파출소 전광판, 지자체 재난안전문자 등을 이용해 안전사고 예방을 위한 홍보활동을 실시할 방침이다.
아울러 사고발생 위험성이 높은 항포구에 선박 안전 상태를 점검하고, 갯바위· 방파제 등 위험구역 중심으로 순찰활동을 강화하는 등 해양안전사고 예방에 총력을 다 할 예정이다.
김지한 서장은“연안해역 방문객들은 해안가 또는 방파제, 갯바위 등에서 강풍과 너울성 파도에 안전사고가 발생할 수 있으니 낚시객이나행락객은 출입을 자제하기 바라며 각별한 주의를 당부드린다”고 전했다.
