【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포스코 포항제철소(소장 천시열)는 직원들의 안전과 행복한 조직 문화 조성을 위해 ‘찾아가는 건강 플러스+’ 교육 프로그램을 제공하고 있다고 22일 밝혔다.

포항제철소는 철강업 특성상 연중무휴로 가동되어야 하는 만큼 생산 라인 유지를 위해 교대근무 체제를 운영 중이다. 이에 따라 직원들의 건강 관리가 무엇보다 중요하다는 인식을 바탕으로 다양한 건강 관리 프로그램을 도입하고 있다.

포항제철소 산업보건센터는 직원들의 건강 증진을 위해 지난 2022년 11월부터 현장으로 찾아가는 ‘건강 플러스+ 교육’ 프로그램을 운영하고 있다. 이 프로그램은 포항제철소 내 모든 공장 및 섹션의 직원들을 대상으로 진행하며, 전담 간호사와 물리치료사가 직접 현장을 방문해 건강관리 예방 교육과 상담을 실시한다.

교육 주제는 △고혈압 △당뇨 △이상지질혈증 △교대근무자 건강관리 △근골격계 질환 등 총 5개로 구성되어 있다. 각 세션은 사전 신청을 통해 30명 이내의 소규모 그룹으로 진행되며, 약 50분간 전문가 교육 및 상담이 이루어진다. 특히 교대근무자를 위한 수면 장애 및 건강 관리 교육도 포함되어 있어, 불규칙한 생활 패턴으로 발생할 수 있는 건강 문제를 사전 예방하고 있다.

프로그램에 참여한 포항제철소 직원은 “현장에서 혈압과 혈당을 체크한 후, 전담 간호사분이 건강 관리 상담 및 조언을 해주셨다”며 “상담을 통해 얻은 건강 지식이 실생활에서도 많은 도움이 될 것 같다”고 소감을 전했다.

포스코 포항제철소 유해성 산업보건센터장은 “올해도 찾아가는 건강 플러스+ 교육을 상시 운영하고 있다”며 “개별 맞춤형 상담과 함께 건강관리 지식 전달을 통해 건강 인식을 개선하여 안전하고 건강한 작업 환경 조성에 기여할 것”이라고 밝혔다.

한편, 포항제철소는 코로나19 재유행에 대비하여 국내외 발생동향 및 코로나19 예방수칙을 전 직원 대상으로 안내하고 있다. 앞으로도 정부 정책 및 발생동향을 모니터링하고, 사내 감염병 대응체계에 따라 직원 건강관리에 힘쓸 계획이다.
