【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포스코 포항제철소(소장 이동렬)는 20일 협력사 직원 23명을 대상으로 ‘AI·ChatGPT 활용 직무역량 향상 교육’을 실시했다. 이번 교육은 QSS(Quick Smart Solution) 혁신활동의 일환으로, 현장 개선을 주도하는 QSS FT(Facilitator)를 대상으로 진행됐다.

QSS는 직원들이 일상 업무 속 낭비를 찾아 개선하고 부가가치를 창출하는 포스코 고유의 현장 중심 혁신활동이다.QSS FT는  성공적인 현장 개선활동을 지원하며, 참여자가 스스로 문제를 해결할 수 있도록 촉진하는 역할을 담당한다.

이번 교육은 기존의 현장 혁신활동에 인공지능 기술을 접목해 실질적인 업무 수행 능력을 높인 것이 특징이다. 참가자들은 ▲AI 프롬프트 설계 ▲자료 조사 및 보고서 작성 등 실무 중심의 실습 교육을 통해 디지털 활용 역량을 강화했다.

㈜에스앤지 강지성 FT는 “생성AI와 ChatGPT 활용법을 체계적으로 배워 업무 효율성을 높이는 다양한 방법을 익혔다”며 “현장에서도 디지털 혁신 문화를 적극 확산하겠다”고 소감을 밝혔다.

포스코 관계자는 “디지털 전환 시대에 협력사 직원들의 전문성과 혁신 역량을 강화하기 위해 이번 교육을 마련했다”며, “앞으로도 협력사와 함께 혁신활동을 확대해 강건한 철강산업 생태계 조성에 기여하겠다”고 말했다.

한편, 포항제철소는 2008년부터 협력사를 대상으로 QSS FT 양성 프로그램을 운영해 오고 있다. 현재까지 총 192명의 QSS FT 전문가를 배출했으며, 중소기업을 비롯해 민·관 단체 및 사회복지기관 등 다양한 분야로 QSS 기법을 확산시키고 있다.

Pohang Works Launches "AI·ChatGPT Job Competency Enhancement Training" for Partners' QSS FTs

POSCO Pohang Works (Manager Lee Dong-ryeol) conducted "AI·ChatGPT Job Competency Enhancement Training" for 23 partner company employees on the 20th. This training, part of the company's QSS (Quick Smart Solution) innovation initiative, targeted QSS FTs (Facilitators) who drive on-site improvements.

QSS is POSCO's unique field-oriented innovation activity that identifies and improves waste in employees' daily work, creating added value. QSS FTs support successful on-site improvement efforts and encourage participants to solve problems independently.

This training featured the integration of AI technology into existing on-site innovation activities to enhance practical work performance. Participants strengthened their digital capabilities through hands-on training focused on AI prompt design, data research, and report writing.

S&G Co., Ltd. FT Kang Ji-seong stated, "I systematically learned how to utilize generative AI and ChatGPT, and learned various ways to improve work efficiency. I will actively spread the culture of digital innovation in the field."

A POSCO representative stated, "We organized this training to strengthen the expertise and innovation capabilities of our partner company employees in the era of digital transformation. We will continue to expand innovation activities with our partners and contribute to the creation of a robust steel industry ecosystem."

Meanwhile, Pohang Steelworks has been operating a QSS FT training program for its partner companies since 2008. To date, it has trained a total of 192 QSS FT experts and is expanding QSS techniques to various sectors, including SMEs, public and private organizations, and social welfare organizations.
