【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포스코 포항제철소(소장 이동렬)는 추석 연휴 기간인 지난 10월 10일, 임직원 가족을 대상으로 ‘Park1538 패밀리 데이’ 견학 프로그램을 운영했다고 밝혔다. 이번 프로그램은 격주 4일제 시행에 따라 직원들이 휴무일을 활용, 가족과 함께 산업문화 공간을 체험할 수 있도록 마련됐다.
참가자들은 Park1538 내 역사박물관과 홍보관, 제철소 내부를 둘러보며 평소 접하기 어려운 산업 현장을 가까이에서 체험했다. 특히 추석 연휴와 맞물려 진행된 행사인 만큼, 가족 간 소통과 이해를 높이는 기회가 됐다는 평가다.
포항제철소 제강부 이일상 과장은 “서울에 사는 동생 가족과 함께 방문했는데, 가족들이 제가 일하는 회사를 직접 보고 설명을 들을 수 있어 뿌듯했다”고 말했다. 전기강판부 이승훈 대리는 “아들이 ‘아빠 최고’라고 외치는 모습을 보며 포스코인으로서 큰 자부심을 느꼈다”고 소감을 전했다.
포항제철소는 오는 10월 24일에도 같은 프로그램을 추가로 운영할 계획으로, 더 많은 임직원 가족들이 산업문화 체험의 기회를 가질 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
Park1538은 2021년 4월 개관한 포스코의 대표 문화공간으로, 국내외 주요 어워드에서 우수성을 인정받았다. 일반인도 무료 견학이 가능하며, 체험 프로그램 신청은 Park1538 공식 사이트(https://park1538.posco.com)에서 할 수 있다.

Lee Seung-hoon, Assistant Manager of the Electrical Steel Division, said, "Seeing my son exclaim, 'Dad, you're the best,' filled me with great pride as a POSCO employee."
Pohang Works plans to run another similar program on October 24th, providing even more employees and their families with opportunities to experience industrial culture.
Park1538, POSCO's flagship cultural space that opened in April 2021, has been recognized for its excellence in major domestic and international awards.
