DGB금융그룹은 지난 9월 23일부터 26일까지 싱가포르, 홍콩 등에서 주요 주주와 잠재투자자를 대상으로 기업설명회(IR)를 개최했다.

이번 설명회는 그룹의 중기 전략 추진과제 중 하나인 주주가치 극대화, 주가 부양을 위한 황병우 회장의 적극적인 의지가 반영됐으며, iM뱅크의 시중은행 전환에 따른 주요 경영전략 및 방향성, 상반기 실적 등 최근 경영성과에 대해 주요 투자자와 직접 소통했다.

특히 시장의 주요 관심사항인 주주환원정책의 방향성과 자본시장 밸류업 프로그램 등에 대한 투자자 의견을 청취했다.

최근 DGB금융그룹은 시중금융그룹에 걸맞은 질적 성장을 이루고 금융사 밸류업 프로그램에 동참하기 위해 중기 경영계획을 재수립했다. 이익과 자산의 증가보다 자본효율성을 개선하는 중기 목표를 수립해 규모가 아닌 질적 성장에 대한 방향을 명확히 했으며, 이러한 전략에 따른 구체적인 목표를 10월 중 밸류업 프로그램을 통해 발표할 계획이다.

황병우 회장은 “주요주주, 잠재주주와 면담하면서 시중은행으로서의 포지셔닝 전략을 설명하고 그룹의 내실 있는 핵심 성장전략에 대해 충분히 소통하는 시간이었다”라며 “앞으로도 책임경영을 적극 실천하고 주주친화정책을 통한 주주가치 향상에 힘쓰겠다”라고 강조했다.

한편, 황병우 회장은 이번 설명회가 싱가포르에서 개최된 만큼 그룹의 싱가포르 자회사인 ‘Hi Asset Management Asia(이하 HiAMA)’ 사무실을 방문해 직원들을 격려하는 시간도 가졌다. 올해 초 그룹의 11번째 자회사이자 첫 번째 해외 자회사로 편입한 HiAMA는 싱가포르 내 우수한 현지 인력과 인프라를 적극 활용하고 안정적인 자체 트랙레코드를 확보해 국내외 투자자금을 유치하고 있으며, 그룹의 국내외 네트워크를 활용해 외부 자금 펀딩을 통한 사업을 확대해나가고 있다.
