【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=DGB금융그룹 DGB사회공헌재단(이사장 황병우)은 대구 남구청 드림피아홀에서 열린 ‘언니, 누나와 함께하는 어린이 타운홀미팅’ 행사의 후원금을 전달했다고 13일 밝혔다.

대구 남구지역사회보장협의체와 지역아동센터 남구연합회가 주최하는 ‘어린이 타운홀미팅’ 행사는 마을 복지 문제 발굴과 해결방안을 아동·청소년의 시각에서 논의하고, 미래세대의 원동력인 어린이들의 자긍심 고취 및 아동 친화적 도시를 조성하는 데 도움을 주고자 기획됐다.

이번 행사에는 지역아동센터 이용 아동뿐만 아니라 대구여자상업고등학교 재학생과 경일대학교 퍼실레이터 학생들도 함께 참가해 아동들의 의견을 경청해 실질적으로 정책에 반영될 수 있는 방향으로 토론을 이끌어 눈길을 끌었다.

황병우 DGB사회공헌재단 이사장은 “가정의 달을 맞아 미래 성장의 주인공인 어린이가 직접 발전적인 미래를 그릴 수 있는 행사에 함께해 기쁘며, 앞으로도 어린이들을 위한 다양한 지원을 통해 적극적으로 ESG를 실천할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 전했다.

한편, DGB금융그룹은 매년 지역 아동을 위한 본사 사옥을 개방해 ‘ESG환경페스티벌’, ‘DGB파랑새어린이합창단’을 운영하고 지역 아동을 초청해 게임존 운영과 마술 등의 문화공연 지원, 지역 아동을 위한 금융교육과 지역아동센터 운영 등 다양한 아동 복지사업을 지원하고 있으며, 앞으로도 점차 확대해 나갈 예정이다.
