【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=DGB금융그룹 DGB사회공헌재단(이사장 황병우)은 지난 3일 대구시청 동인청사에서 9월 사회복지의 날과 추석 명절을 맞아 취약계층을 위한 ‘DGB 행복 Dream day’ 행사를 진행하고 기부금을 전달했다고 4일 밝혔다.

이날 행사는 DGB금융지주 그룹가치경영총괄 성태문 전무와 대구광역시 김선조 행정부시장, 대구사회복지공동모금회 김수학 회장, 대구노숙인시설협회 이재걸 회장과 함께 진행했으며, 지역 노숙인을 위해 김, 참치캔, 라면 등의 식재료와 마스크, 수건, 샴푸, 양말 등의 위생용품이 담긴 생필품 박스를 직접 포장해 전달했다.

특히 노숙인 이용 시설의 환경 개선을 위한 이불세트를 준비해 전달했고, 임직원과 대학생으로 구성된 DGB봉사단이 물품 준비부터 포장까지 전 과정에 직접 참여하며 활동의 진성을 더해 눈길을 끌었다.

DGB사회공헌재단에서는 이날 행사를 시작으로 ‘DGB 행복 Dream day’를 맞아 대구·경북을 포함해 서울·수도권, 부산·울산·경남·강원 지역까지 범위를 확대해 전국 73개 사회복지기관에 총 1억 400만 원의 후원금을 전달할 예정이며, 직원들의 봉사활동을 통해 참여형 밀착 사회공헌활동을 확대할 계획이다.

DGB사회공헌재단 황병우 이사장은 ”임직원 봉사활동으로 이뤄지는 이번 활동을 통해 취약계층에 꼭 필요한 도움을 주면서 지역에서 받은 사랑에 보답할 기회가 됐으면 좋겠다“라며 “앞으로도 참여형 지역 밀착 사회공헌 사업을 통해 ESG를 적극 실천하겠다”라고 밝혔다.

한편, DGB금융그룹은 매년 5월과 9월 지역 복지시설과의 연계해 이웃 사랑을 실천하는 ‘DGB 행복 Dream day’ 행사를 진행하고 있으며, 전체 임직원이 참여하는 ‘급여1%사랑나눔’과 ‘동행봉사단’ 활동을 통해 참여형 사회공헌활동을 점진적으로 확대하고 있다.

Meanwhile, DGB Financial Group holds the ‘DGB Happy Dream Day’ event every May and September to practice love for neighbors in cooperation with local welfare facilities, and is gradually expanding participatory social contribution activities through the ‘1% Salary Love Sharing’ and ‘Volunteer Corps’ activities in which all employees participate.
