【브레이크뉴스 】이성현 기자=김천시는 주민들의 이동 편의 증진을 위해 오는 12월 14일부터 대구-경북 공동생활권 대중교통 광역환승제를 시행한다고 6일 밝혔다.

이번 광역환승제는 김천시를 포함해 구미, 대구, 칠곡, 성주, 고령, 청도, 경산, 영천 등 총 9개 지자체가 참여하며, 시내 및 농어촌버스, 대구광역철도, 대구지하철 등 다양한 운송수단을 포괄한다.

광역환승제는 이용자에게 시내버스와 대구도시철도 간 무료 환승을 제공하며, 시내버스와 대구광역철도 간 환승 시에는 버스 기본요금 외 광역철도 요금을 정액할인 받을 수 있다. 환승은 하차 후 60분 내 최대 2회까지 가능하여, 이동 편의가 크게 향상될 전망이다.
