【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=동국대 WISE캠퍼스(총장 류완하) RISE(지역혁신중심 대학지원체계)사업 포용사회혁신교육사업단은 오는 1월 24일부터 30일까지 교내 한의학관 403호 강의실에서 느린학습자 지원 기반 통합교육 사업을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 학습 속도와 인지 특성의 차이를 고려한 맞춤형 교육 설계를 통해, 기존 평생·직업교육 체계에서 상대적으로 소외돼 왔던 느린학습자를 대상으로 통합교육 전문가를 양성하는 데 목적이 있다.

교육과정은 포용사회혁신교육사업단 단장인 이영찬 교수(평생교육원장)가 총괄하며, 아동청소년교육학과 이지희 교수가 느린학습자의 발달 및 학습 특성을 반영한 교육과정 설계와 현장 적용이 가능한 실천 중심 강의 운영, 전문가 양성 전반을 맡고 있다.

동국대 WISE캠퍼스는 느린학습자를 단순한 보호·지원의 대상이 아닌 교육과 사회 참여의 주체로 인식하고, 교육·복지·고용 영역과 연계한 통합교육 체계를 구축해 나가고 있다.

이영찬 평생교육원장은 “포용사회혁신교육사업단은 RISE 사업의 취지에 맞춰 학습의 다양성을 존중하는 지역 기반 교육 모델을 만들어가고 있다”며 “느린학습자 통합교육 사업을 통해 포용적 평생·직업교육의 실천 사례를 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

김영준 포용사회혁신교육사업단 PD교수는 “경주 및 경북 지역 느린학습자와 당사자 가족, 주변인들의 지속적인 관심과 참여를 바란다”며 “지역 평생·직업교육 체계와 연계해 단계적으로 사업을 확대해 나갈 계획”이라고 밝혔다.
