경북도의회 박용선 의원(포항)이 도민의 합리적 의사결정과 안정된 경제생활을 위해 경제교육 활성화 및 지원에 관한 조례안을 발의했다.

박용선 의원은 적극적인 경제교육으로 경북도민들이 지식을 습득하고, 합리적인 경제의식을 함양할 수 있도록 이번 조례안에 경제교육 활성화에 필요한 사항을 적극 반영하는 내용을 담았다.

조례안의 구체적인 내용은 △ 나라사랑교육 활성화에 관한 기본계획 수립을 5년마다 시행 △ 경제교육 자문·심의를 위한 경제교육추진위원회 설치 및 구성 △ 경제교육추진위원회 개의사항 △ 경제교육단체 재정적 지원 △ 다른 지방자치단체 및 경제교육단체 등과 교류 및 협력체계  구축에 관한 사항 등이 있다.

지난해 실시된 2021학년도 수학능력에서 ‘경제’를 선택한 수험생의 비중이 1.2% 그치는 등 고등학교 학생의 경제 교육이 미흡한 실정 가운데 박용선 의원은 “한국 경제가 발전하면서 모든 계층이 현실적인 경제교육의 중요성을 인식하고 있지만, 사회에서 체계적으로 이루어지기 어려운 것이 사실”이라고 말했다.

그러면서 “조례안을 통해 학생들과 경제교육의 취약계층까지 모두 고려한 실질적인 경제교육 활성화 및 지원방안을 마련해 도민들의 금융이해력을 한층 제고시킬 수 있기를 기대한다”고 밝혔다.

해당 조례안은 상임위 심사를 거쳐 오는 10월 14일 제326회   임시회 본회의를 통과할 예정이다.

The ordinance bill is expected to pass the 326th Extraordinary Session plenary session on October 14th after review by the Standing Committee.
