박용선 경상북도의원(국민의힘, 포항)이 학생 1인당 30만원의 진학지원금 지급을 추진한다.

박용선 의원이 △ 학생 진학지원금 지원대상 △ 학생 진학지원금 지원방법 △ 학생 진학지원금 지원금액 등을 골자로 하는 경상북도교육청 학생 진학지원금 조례안을 발의했다.

박 의원은 “학생 진학준비금이 교육의 공공성을 강화하고, 나아가 교육격차 최소화와 학생복지 증진에 기여하는 마중물이 될 것으로 기대한다”라며 조례안 발의 배경에 대해 설명했다. 

경북교육청은 조례 제정에 따라 내년부터 초3ㆍ중1ㆍ고1 학생에게 진로탐색, 체육복 구입, 학습준비물 구입 등의 용도인 학생 진학지원금을 현금 또는 현물로 1인당 30만원씩 지급할 예정이다.

해당 조례안은 경상북도의회 교육위원회에서 원안가결 되었으며, 9월 2일 본회의를 통과할 예정이다.

The draft ordinance has been approved by the Education Committee of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Council, and is scheduled to pass the plenary session on September 2nd.
