경상북도는 해양수산부의 내년도‘어촌뉴딜 300사업’공모사업에 경주 가곡항, 영덕 대진1항·병곡항, 울릉 통구미항 3개 지구가 선정됐다고 7일 밝혔다.

경상붃도에 따르면‘어촌뉴딜 300사업’은 2019년부터 낙후된 선착장 등 어촌의 필수 기반시설을 현대화하고 지역특성에 맞는 다양한 자원을 활용해 특화개발을 추진해 어촌경제에 활력을 불어넣기 위해 추진하고 있다.

이번에 선정된 3개 지구는 경주 가곡항 86억원 , 영덕 대진1항·병곡항 110억원 , 울릉 통구미항 98억원으로 사업비 294억원 규모로 총사업비는 기본계획 심의를 통해 최종 확정될 예정이다.

경북도는 지난해까지 공모사업에 21개 지구가 선정돼 총사업비 1884억원 중 올해까지 1260억원을 투자했다.

2019년 선정된 5개 지구는 올해 완공을 목표로 어항기반 시설(방파제, 안전시설 등) 및 차별화된 특화 개발로 관광 인프라를 개선하고 있다.

지난해 선정된 11개 지구는 착공해 공사가 진행 중이며, 올해 선정된 5개소는 기본계획 수립을 완료하고 내년 상반기 어항 내 기반시설을 우선 착공해 어촌 재생기반을 구축할 계획이다.

이번에 선정된 3개 지구에 대하여는 기본계획을 조속히 수립해 지역밀착형 생활SOC사업을 선제적으로 추진, 지역민들이 체감할 수 있는 정책효과를 달성할 방침이다.

어촌뉴딜 300사업 내실화를 위해 다양한 분야의 전문가가 참여하는 ‘경상북도 어촌뉴딜 300사업 자문단’을 구성해 사업대상지에 대한 자문 및 컨설팅도 지원할 예정이다.
