경북선관위에 따르면 군위군선거관리위원회는 이장 A씨가 이번 지방선거 거소투표신고 기간 중 거소투표 의사를 확인하지 않고 주민 5명의 거소투표신고서를 본인이 직접 서명 또는 날인하는 방법으로 작성 후 면사무소에 제출하여 해당 주민들을 사위의 방법으로 거소투표신고인명부에 오르게 한 혐의로 A씨를 지난 26일 대구지방검찰청 의성지청에 고발했다.
‘공직선거법’제247조(사위등재·허위날인죄)제1항에는 사위(詐僞)의 방법으로 선거인명부(거소투표신고인명부를 포함)에 오르게 한 자, 거짓으로 거소투표신고를 한 자는 ‘3년 이하의 징역 또는 500만원 이하의 벌금에 처한다’고 규정되어 있다.
경북선관위는 선거일이 일주일 앞으로 다가옴에 따라 막바지 불법선거운동 차단에 총력을 기울일 것을 밝히며, 지역 주민들의 적극적인 신고·제보를 당부했다.
