【브레이크뉴스 경북】진예솔 기자=경상북도선거관리위원회는 내년 6월 3일 치러지는 제9회 전국동시지방선거를 앞두고 선거 관련 법규 안내와 단속을 한층 강화할 계획이다. 

선거일 180일 전인 오는 12월 5일부터는 공직선거법에 따라 일정 행위가 제약을 받는다.

공직선거법에 따르면, 후보자 간 기회 균등과 선거의 공정성을 확보하기 위해 선거일 180일 전부터 선거일까지 특정 행위가 금지된다. 

이에 따라 지방자치단체장과 교육감을 포함한 단체장은 관할 기관의 사업계획이나 추진 실적, 활동 상황을 알리는 홍보물을 발행·배포하거나 방송하는 것이 금지된다. 

주민자치센터 교양강좌 참석이나 근무시간 중 민간 단체가 주최하는 행사 참여도 제한된다.

정당과 후보자, 입후보 예정자가 설립하거나 운영하는 기관·단체·조직·시설 역시 선거구민을 대상으로 선거에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 행위가 금지된다. 

또 기관이나 단체의 설립·활동을 알리기 위해 정당이나 후보자의 명의를 사용하거나, 이를 유추할 수 있는 방식으로 홍보하는 것도 허용되지 않는다.

경북선관위는 관련 법규를 몰라 불이익을 받는 일이 없도록 지방자치단체, 정당, 입후보예정자들에게 주요 위반 사례와 규정을 적극 안내할 방침이다. 

특히 공무원의 선거 관여 행위에 대해서는 집중 단속에 나설 예정이며, 위반 시 디지털포렌식과 디지털인증서비스 등 과학적 조사 기법을 활용해 엄정하게 조치하겠다고 밝혔다.

The Gyeongbuk Election Commission plans to actively inform local governments, political parties, and prospective candidates of key violations and regulations to prevent them from being disadvantaged due to ignorance of relevant laws and regulations.

In particular, the commission plans to focus on cracking down on election interference by public officials and announced that it will take strict action against violations using scientific investigative techniques such as digital forensics and digital authentication services.
