【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=경상북도선거관리위원회는 2월 12일 위원회의를 열고 손병원 대구고등법원 수석판사(57)를 신임 위원장으로 호선했다고 밝혔다.

손 위원장은 취임사에서 “중립적이고 정확한 법규 운용과 투명한 선거관리로 국민 신뢰를 회복하겠다”며 “변화하는 선거환경과 높아진 국민 요구 수준에 부응할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

손 위원장은 제37회 사법시험에 합격해 인천지방법원 판사를 시작으로 서울중앙지방법원, 대구지방법원 판사를 거쳤다. 이후 서울고등법원과 대구고등법원 고법판사를 역임했으며, 지난 2월 9일부터 대구고등법원 수석판사로 근무하고 있다.

Gyeongbuk Election Commission Elects Daegu High Court Senior Judge Son Byeong-won as New Chairperson

The Gyeongsangbuk-do Election Commission announced on February 12th that it had elected Daegu High Court Senior Judge Son Byeong-won (57) as its new chairperson.

In his inaugural address, Chairperson Son stated, "I will restore public trust through neutral and accurate enforcement of laws and transparent election management." He added, "I will do my best to meet the changing election environment and rising public demands."

Chairperson Son passed the 37th Bar Examination and served as a judge at the Incheon District Court, Seoul Central District Court, and Daegu District Court. He subsequently served as a judge at the Seoul High Court and Daegu High Court, and has been serving as a senior judge at the Daegu High Court since February 9th.
