【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=경상북도는 코로나로 제한되었던 관광･여행에 대한 갈증이 한꺼번에 폭발함에 따라 여행수요를 다양하고 이색적인 여름축제로 휴가철 행락객의 발길을 경북으로 돌린다는 구상이다.

이를 위해 오는 7~8월에는 코로나로 2년간 주춤했던 여름철 휴가기간에 맞춰 축제를 일제히 개최한다고 5일 밝혔다.

먼저 이달 30일에 문화체육관광부 대표축제인 봉화은어축제가 그 첫 테이프를 끊는다. 

‘봉화에서 COOL하게! 은어로 FUN하게’를 주제로 내달 7일까지 봉화읍 내성천 일원에서 개최된다.

30일 오전 11시에 개막식을 시작으로 미스트롯 콘서트, 한여름밤의 작은 음악회, 은어축제 버스킹, 지역 트롯신이 떳다 등 음악이 있는 여름 콘텐츠 프로그램이 열린다.

또 은어 반두･맨손잡이 체험, 은어 숯불･그릴구이, 은어 먹거리 장터 등 체험 이벤트와 아이들이 좋아하는 샌드아트 모래놀이장, 어린이 물놀이장을 마련해 전 연령층이 즐길 수 있도록 했다.

내성천의 깨끗하고 시원한 물에서 은어와 함께 여름휴가 추억을 남기도록 세심하게 준비했다.

내달 5일에는 성주생명문화축제가 개막한다. 

‘생명이 살아있다! 무지개빛 성주’를 주제로 내달 14일까지 개최된다.

성주 성밖숲과 성주역사테마공원 일원에서 개최되는 이번 축제는 세종 태실을 매개로한 생명선포식, 태교음악회, 드림페스티벌 등 주제공연과 참외디저트푸드와 먹거리 존, 전시 체험존이 운영된다.

또 힐링와숲존을 운영해 홀로그램 미디어아트, 미디어 파사트와 물놀이 시설, 힐링쉼터 등 썸머바캉스존까지 운영할 계획이다.

한편, 메타버스축제장을 구축해 체험과 게임, 이벤트를 진행하여 홍보효과도 극대화 한다는 계획이다.

내달 27일에는 울릉도 오징어축제가 개막한다. 

울릉도 저동항 일원에서 내달 29일까지 3일간 개최되는 축제는 27일 저녁 7시 30분 개막을 시작으로 오징어콘서트, 불꽃놀이가 펼쳐진다.

또 체험행사로 오징어 3종경기, 오징어맨손잡기, 오징어 요리경연대회 등 다양한 프로그램이 마련됐으며, 예년 인기가 많았던 피맥(피데기와 맥주)파티를 확대한다는 계획이다.

이외에도 이색적인 축제가 다채롭다. 

구미에는 국민간식 라면을 주제로 한 라면캠핑페스티벌이 내달 27일부터 28일까지, 봉화에서는 한여름 산타마을 축제가 이달 23부터 내달 21일까지 1달여간 열린다.

또 봉자(봉화의 자생꽃)페스티벌이 이달 28일부터 내달 7일까지, 청도에는 반려동물 펫 콘서트가 내달 6일 개최되는 등 한여름 경북에는 이색적이고 풍성한 축제들이 여름밤을 채울 예정이다.

이철우 경북도지사는 “불볕더위 여름, 시원한 곳을 찾아 떠나는 여름 휴가철 행락객을 위한 축제를 다채롭게 준비했다”며 “안전하고 편안한 경북, 코로나로 지친 심신을 회복할 수 있는 최고의 지역인 경북에서 오랜만에 찾아온 휴가를 보내며 행복한 추억을 만들어 가길 바란다” 고 밝혔다.
